Repairs and Returns


Effective September 1, 2001 - All returns and repairs must be accompanied by a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a completed Product Decontamination Certificate (PDC). Download the PDC here or call Customer Service at (714) 379-5519.  Repairs and returns will not be opened unless a completed PDC is affixed to the outside of the box.


J.L. Wingert is the authorized factory repair center for LMI, ARO, Myron L, SeaMetrics, +GF+ Signet, and Wingert Manufactured Products.  We also repair the products from Flowline, Love Chart Recorders, Rustrack, and Primary Fluid Systems.  

If you have a product for repair, no return authorization number is required.   Download and complete the PDC Form and secure it with the MSDS in an envelope affixed to the outside of the returned package.   If the product has not been used with chemical, please indicate such in the "Chemicals Used:" section of the PDC (no MSDS is required).  Ship completed package to:

Attn: Repairs
Before any work is performed, we will provide you with a repair estimate.  A diagnostic fee, plus tax, will be charged for this estimate.  This estimate fee will be waived should the equipment be repaired or replaced.  In the case where the equipment needs to be shipped to the manufacturer, the customer will be responsible for the cost associated with outbound freight.

Frequently Asked Questions


How soon will I receive my repaired product?

  • Most estimates for repair can be provided within 5 days after your product is received.  However, because of the many different products we repair and the complexity of those products, we cannot guarantee a specific time in which your product will be returned.  If you have questions regarding your repair, contact the Repair Coordinator at (714) 379-5519.


    Can I walk in and drop off my equipment?

  • Yes.  You can drop off your equipment at our Will Call counter M-F from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  You will be contacted by the Repair Coordinator when your repair estimate is complete.


    What about warranty information - how will I know if my repair is covered by your warranty?

  • J.L. Wingert Company guarantees its manufactured products against defects in material and workmanship which develop in the service for which they are designed.   Please refer to the specific product pricing sheets for warranty period.  We will repair or replace defective material when returned to our factory with transportation prepaid: providing that the material is found to be defective upon inspection.  We assume no liability for labor and/or other expense in making repairs or adjustments.   All replacements will be F.O.B. our factory.  Products that we do not manufacture are guaranteed contingent upon the manufacturer's inspection.  Their findings are final and beyond our control. LMI and Myron L warranties vary by product.  Please refer to the product warranty that was included with your shipment for specific details of coverage.
